Welcome to my Home Page

I am the Enterprise Architect at ICBC Standard Bank in London.

I am also a published author and speaker, with a particular interest in the role and practice of software architecture.

I am a CEng (Chartered Engineer) and FBCS (Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society).

My Background

I have worked in IT since 1979. Prior to joining ICBCS I was the Architect for the Control and Rates IT at Barclays Investment Bank. In recent years I have led the Enterprise Architecture Group at Barclays Global Investors in London, and been a Lead Technical Architect for Marks and Spencer.

I also worked for many years as an IT consultant for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Sybase Professional Services, Praxis and Logica, taking senior roles on projects for a wide range of public and private sector clients.
